Our commercial package policies contains two or more of the following coverage parts; commercial property; commercial general liability; products/completed operations liability; commercial crime; inland marine; liquor liability; boiler and machinery; commercial automobile.
The majority of package policies contain both; a commercial property insurance and a commercial general liability policy. Protection under a package policy is so important as it addresses the following types of loss:
Property Insurance Coverage: Provides direct damage coverage on building(s) and/or business personal property which is damaged and loss of property due to covered forms of loss: fire, theft, burglary, vandalism or water damage (does not include damage cause by flood water).
Business Income Coverage: Coverage for continuing expenses such as utility bills, net income, monetary losses due to down time or extra expenses (costs of “above normal expense”) needed to restore operations (such as additional property rental, employee over-time) which resulted from a covered loss. A suspension or decrease in tuition income can quickly result in a financial crisis making it difficult to maintain expenses and operating costs. This valuable coverage can get schools back up and running quickly making this valuable coverage indispensable.
The general liability coverage part provides liability protection for third-party claims for which the facility may be liable such as:
1. Bodily Injury (Includes sickness or disease): Coverage provides the affected person or organization for: A: the cost of care; B: the loss of services; and C: restitution for any death that results from the injury.
2. Property Damage: If something the school did or didn’t do resulted in damaging another’s property or prevented the owner from continued use of it. This coverage would compensate the owner for: A: The physical damage to the property; B: The loss of use of that property.
3. Completed Products & Operations: If an injury to a person ever resulted from a manufactured product or contracted service the facility provided, this coverage would pay for the resulting damages (up to your policy's limit) and legal expenses. In addition, if you were sued because of these damages, the coverage would cover related defense costs regardless of who was at fault.
4. Professional Liability: Coverage is provided for staff who give advice, make educated recommendations, design solutions, provide services or represent the needs of others. "Errors and Omissions" is sometimes referred to as professional liability insurance. This coverage is not only needed by doctors, lawyers, and accountants it is needed by a wide range of businesses. It is invaluable protection in the event someone claims the staff incorrectly performed or failed to perform your professional duties.
5. Advertising Injury: If the facility was named in a lawsuit because injuries which result from: A: publishing (either written or verbal) inaccurate information that slanders or libels another person or organization; B: publishing material that violates another person or organization right of privacy; C: Use of on another person or organization copyright, title or slogan coverage provides valuable liability protection.

9. Non-Owned & Hired Auto: Facilities that do not own and operate an auto but have A: parent of registered students; &/or B: staff members; volunteer the use of their personal owned automobile can obtain coverage that will meet the contract requirement for commercial auto coverage. This coverage protects the school in case it is sued as a result of an accident that occurred while volunteering on behalf of the facility. It is important to note that this coverage will not protect the volunteer personally, only the volunteer personal auto policy will do that. Hired auto coverage replaces or augments liability coverage offered by car rental agencies.
